Can you please try whether the following steps resolve your issue? 1) Press and hold the windows key, then press the R key, then release (i.e. press Win + R). This causes the Run dialog to appear (bottom left). 2) Copy and paste the following command into the Run dialog: CODE: SELECT ALL setx _JAVA_OPTIONS -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true 3) Press OK. You may see a black screen appear and disappear very quickly. 4) Relaunch the client from http://java.com/en/download/installed.jsp?detect=jre Please let us know whether this resolves your issue.
